What's New with the Lawncare Leaders?

Sep 01, 2021

Hey Guys!

Happy September! We're excited to tell you about all of the new updates that have been going on in the Lawncare Leaders community.
Today, I'm going to outline some of the updates, let you guys know what's been going on in our world, and catch you guys up to speed.
And I hope this meets a lot of you guys, right where you're at. I know right now, we're seeing a ton of transitions in companies. Maybe, you grew so fast and you needed to overhire and guys left, or maybe you're struggling a little bit to get some sales, but this is going to be a little bit of motivation.
It's also going to be a wake-up call for some of you guys out there that are struggling a little bit and need that push to get through the rest of the fall season. So we're going to talk about that. And then, in a couple of weeks, we're going to be checking in as you guys know.

My company Green Again Lawn is based out of the Kansas City area on the Kansas side, and we have had a ton of transitions going on. And we actually just opened up in the Indianapolis market a few weeks back. So we've got boots on the ground out there.
Zach has partnered with me to open a Green Again location out in Indianapolis. And we actually plucked one of our better guys here from Kansas and sent him out there with Zach as ops manager. And so with all of that, there has been a lot to do and a lot going on a lot up in the air.

It was a hurry up and wait on a few big items. It's just been fun, man. It's been a lot of fun. It's been a journey and this is what we signed up for. So we're going to keep you guys in the know on how that's going over these next few weeks. I'll probably even call Zach and Seth to check in with them and let you guys hear some of their perspectives -  what's going well, what's going wrong, and what we can improve on, especially as some of you may be thinking about opening a second location or starting your first one.

Right now, since I am heavy with Green Again and heavy with operations with helping out getting Indianapolis rolling, we're going to move to one podcast per week. One episode per week is our goal right now for the podcast.

I know in the past you've all have been spoiled. We've been dropping one Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Right now, at least until we get through aerating and seeding and start approaching winter, we're going to just drop one on Fridays.

I know that some of our loyal listeners might be disappointed and we apologize. But right now, Green Again and getting these things fully functioning and healthy, and getting Indy off the ground is one of our main priorities. So we're just having to switch quite a bit due to that.

Some exciting news - Green Again Kansas is HIRING!

I want to put this out on the airwaves, so to speak, that we are hiring. We are looking for GM's in training. We are looking for guys that know tree and shrub. We're looking for potential lawn technicians.

We're looking for guys that may see what we're doing and growing and want to learn our systems and go do it myself, or learn our systems and go run a location themselves as well. So we are hiring!

We're going to start both a Green Again workshop and a Green Again Training Program/ Academy. We haven't named it yet and it's still a work in progress, but I wanted to tell you guys that because if you're a listener out there and you want to learn our system, the workshop might be for you! Or if you're a podcast listener out there that is thinking, 'Hey, you know this Green Again thing I would, I would love to be a part of it and see what it's about.

Maybe work for them for a while and then go out and be a part of a new location that starting up - whatever it is we're actually going to put you through. So, that's the basis of our Green Again Academy and Training Program. So we'd love to have some of you guys reach out if that's at all piqued your interest because the seats on that are going to be limited as well. My guess is that this curriculum is going to be pretty lengthy.

It'll also be paid training. And so we will be bringing you here, boots on the ground to Kansas city to complete those. Now the workshop, it'll be a little quicker. It'll be anywhere from three to five days, but I wanted to put a bug in your guys' ear because that's something we're excited about.

That's something that I know is going to help someone else out there that wants to take advantage of this opportunity. It's going to continue to drive Green Again to develop key leaders through that system.

So, there's a lot of updates and because of our time constraints around Green Again, we've also had to switch some of our priorities around the Lawn Care Leaders Coaching and Community. As a result, we are no longer accepting any more Tier 2 clients. We will accept Tier 1. We are making people decide whether or not they want Tier 1 or Tier 3, which comes with all of the financials and the reporting and the financial build-out from Zack, the people CFOs.

So, those are the updates we have! Please feel free to reach out to our admin [email protected] or message us on the Community App with any questions you may have.
